I have had the pleasure of knowing Oya Evans for almost 20 years both socially and from a business point of view. However, this very multi-tasked young lady excelled herself when in 2014 she single handidly organised Peter and my wedding on the 8th of March 2014.
Not only did she assist enormously in sourcing a perfect venue, the Landmark Hotel in London, but also made so many constructive suggestions and made sure that every single aspect of our wedding was not only a perfect day to remember but also a completely stress-free event for both Peter and myself.
It was (and always is) a pleasure to work with Oya, who has a gift for making one feel the most important person in the world and no area was too big or two small for her beady eyed attention to detail to deal with!. We had 150 guests, the ceremony was at the hotel, which then led onto cocktails/canapes/full dinner and dancing. Oya organised the flowers, the band, photographer, cabaret, a fantastic dance group, a silhouette artist, mini bar and barman, a roulette wheel, magician – all artists who were all of an exceptional standard. She was instrumental in organising our wedding dance. An extremely talented and well organised lady, who’s greatest concern is that her clients (and their guests) have the most relaxed and enjoyable time at their special event.
A couple of weeks ago we attended a wedding of which Oya had played a very important role, as co-ordinator on the “big day” every detail that the bride’s mother had wished for was carried out, and I keep hearing repeated thank you’s from the bride and her mother. So grateful that all the attention (and stresses) were handled so perfectly and seriously by Oya. The event was memorable and the whole of the family and friends had a truly fantastic time.
We have no hesitation in recommending Oya Evans to whoever is looking for a stress-free and wonderful event, be it large or small, and very happy to give a written or verbal reference any time.

”My daughter married recently and highly recommended by a friend, we were lucky to secure the services of Oya Evans from Captiv8 Events as our on the day wedding co-ordinator. It was by far the best decision we made. Oya was a true professional – incredibly organised and efficient, her eye for fine detail is second to none.
Whilst the festival style marquee reception for 180 guests was in a remote and challenging location, we were able to relax completely and fully enjoy the day stress free and in the confidence that Oya was in full control. Not only that but she is so likeable, positive, kind and friendly with heaps of energy. Oya’s communication in the lead up to the wedding was excellent and she visited the site on several occasions, providing us with some very valuable suggestions. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she had a great rapport with all the suppliers. On top of that Oya also runs a successful dance school and gave some excellent tips to the bride and groom for their first dance.
I cannot speak highly enough of Oya – she is a true expert in her field and it is no surprise she has won multiple national awards for her event planning.

First of all, our engagement party was exactly what we had in mind, from the amazing venue picked out, to the dinner, drinks, decor and location as we requested the party be in Soho. The night itself ran without a hitch and all our guests said they had an amazing evening, as did we! Captiv8 really did think of every little detail!
Captiv8 Events has also been helping us with searching for the perfect wedding venue. Oya has been brilliant with organising site visits, helping us choose a location, scheduling the day, catering and generally all of things we would not think about ourselves!

Completely reliable, Oya delivers a very classy show that we will always remember. From choosing the right venues for us, one at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London, the other in Lake Como, Italy. Amidst a breathtaking backdrop, the beautifully choreographed sequence of the wedding dance, an excellent menu, wine, & entertainment. A first class band lifted the ambiance, everyone made the dance floor. No detail was too much & infused with inspired ideas that set the day apart from the expected- we had an antique ice cream cart the guests loved!
